25 Years of Quality
Construction on Othoni

ICE (Icodomichès che Comaturghichès Ergasìes), led by Ilias Spiru, has been building on Othoni for over 25 years, specializing in homes, public works, renovations, and earthmoving. The company is known for preserving the island’s architectural heritage through traditional techniques and authentic materials.

From dry-stone walls and hand-cut stonework to roofs with reclaimed tiles, olive-wood details, stone floors, wells, fireplaces, and terracotta ovens, ICE brings craftsmanship and island tradition together in every project.

The island

Othoni welcomes visitors with the sandy bay of Ammos and a coastline filled with hidden wonders—from the bright Aspri Ammos beach and sea-only Calypso cave to rocky pools, small coves, and cliffs where monk seals and ancient shipwrecks can still be seen. Highlights include the 16th-century lighthouse, the Venetian fort of Kastri, and the northern beach of Fiki, ideal for snorkeling among old amphorae.

Inland, shaded trails connect villages through olive groves to Horio and its panoramic viewpoints. Walks lead to the church of Panagia, the historic ridge paths, and the island’s highest peak, Megàlo Merovìgli. After exploring, visitors return to Ammos for an aperitif and dinner featuring fresh seafood or roasted meats.
